On December 7, 2007, the Lab did a joint gig with one of the greatest musicians of our time Tony Levin. Several musicians appeared on the stage that evening as well: didgeridoo player Joseph "Jovis" Bubrowski, Artem Yakushenko (electric violin, mandolin), Sergey Klevensky (wind instruments), Boris Nazarov (percussion programming, special effects), Djagannat (tabla), Evgenia Tedjetova (vocals), and Pavel Mikhailuk (didgeridoo, jew's harp, vocals). There were some pleasant surprises: the musicians were joined by the members of the world-renowned guttural signing Tuva band Huun Huur Tu Kaigal-ool Hovalyg and Sayan Bapa. At the very end during the encore performance Alexander Cheparukhin (GreenWave Music) replaced percussionist Jagannat, and the musicians played what could be called a true celebration of the "natural trance" style. Editing of the recorded performance is currently under way, and when released, the DVD will be released on Citadel Records. |
